INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Proper installation of this kit requires LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97).
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Based on vehicle model and kit, there may be variation in length and number of the screws.
| 1. | See Figure 3 , Table 1 and Table 2. Apply threadlocker to screw threads prior to assembly. Preassemble the right hand side of the adaptor kit by inserting the screw through the washer (3), right base (7), and thread into threaded base part (6) until snug. For Kit 43000159, the right base (7) has a notch at the top that needs to be aligned with the fork down tube.LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97) | |
| 2. | Install O-ring (5) one inch from the left end of the threaded rod as shown. | |
| 3. | See Figure 1. Insert the adaptor kit into the axle from the right hand side. | |
| 4. | See Figure 2. Apply threadlocker to threads, install the remaining screw, washer (3), and left base (4) while holding the right side secure. For Kit 43000159, the left base (4) has a notch at the top that needs to be aligned with the fork down tube. Do not use air tools for installation. Tighten. Torque: 11.3 N·m (100 in-lbs) LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97)NOTE Slight gap between left base (4) and fork slider is normal once installed. |
