INSTALLATION
NOTE
A Service Manual for your motorcycle is available at your Harley-Davidson Dealer.
NOTE
The screws supplied in this kit are designed for a onetime installation only. If this kit is removed after initial installation, you must re-apply Loctite 243 (Blue) to the threads of the screws. Failure to re-apply Loctite to screw threads when re-installing footpegs may cause footpegs to come loose or fall off leading to loss of control of vehicle resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTE
The spring washer, Part No. 50912-72, should be saved and reused. If the spring washer is missing or damaged, it should be replaced. A new washer is available from your Harley-Davidson dealer.
- Remove existing nut, spring washer, and screw securing footpeg to passenger footrest support. Discard nut and screw.
- See Figure 1. Install screw through passenger footrest support, spring washer, and footpeg Verify that the spring washer is positioned inside the footpeg support with the square edge towards the inside of the support.
- Install nut to screw. Tighten hardware to 10-16 ft-lbs. (13.5-21.6 Nm).
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the opposite side.
