INSTALLATION
NOTE
In steps 2 and 4 you must use the 5/16-24 x 1-1/2 inch screws contained in the kit for all 1994 and earlier models. Use the existing (stock) hardware for all 1995 and later models.
1. See Figure 2. On right side of vehicle, locate two mounting screws (1) which secure the fairing and the passing lamp bracket to the fork assembly. On 1994 and earlier models: Remove the upper bolt, lock washer and flat washer being careful to note the position of all hardware for reinstallation. On 1995 and later models: Loosen the upper bolt until approximately 1/4 inch clearance is present under the washer. Continue at Step 3.
2. Place the lockwasher and flat washer removed in Step 1 onto one of the screws included with kit. Install the screw into the upper mounting hole until approximately 1/4 inch clearance remains under the washer. Be sure all spacers and brackets are in proper position.
3. Remove the lower screw, lockwasher and flat washer being careful to note the position of all spacers.
4. On 1994 and earlier models: Place the lockwasher and flat washer, removed in Step 3, onto one of the screws in this kit. On 1995 and later models: Use the existing hardware.
5. See Figure 1. Align the slot in the top of the right wind deflector (1) with the upper mounting bolt. Slide the wind deflector under the flat washer.
