This kit is designed for installation on 1999-2005 Dyna, 1999- 2003 Road King® and Electra Glide® Standard models. Does not fit 1999-2003 FLHT models equipped with optional oil temperature gauge kit.

INSTALLATION
| 1. | See Figure 1. Remove the center mounting screw (1) from the oil-filter mount (2). For Dyna installations, go to Step 3. Otherwise, go to step 2. | |
| 2. | For Electra Glide Standard and Road King models only: Carefully guide the cover (5) between the downtube, rear master cylinder, and exhaust pipe. Rest the cover on a soft, clean cloth within the frame members under the oil-pressure switch. | |
| 3. | Fasten the bracket (4) to the mounting block (3) using two 10-24 x 0.25 inch screws (6). Tighten the screws to 4–5 N·m (40–50 in-lbs). | |
| 4. | Fasten the mounting block (3) to the oil-filter mount (2). Do not tighten at this time. | |
| 5. | Place the oil-pressure-switch cover (5) over the mounting block (3) and bracket (4). Loosely fasten the top of the cover using two 10-24 x 0.25 inch screws (6). Do not tighten at this time. | |
| 6. | Adjust the cover (5) and mounting block (3) to straighten the cover on the engine. Check for alignment of the bottom hole in the cover with the weldnut on the bracket (4). | |
| 7. | Gently remove the cover from the mounting block while preventing the mounting block from moving. | |
| 8. | Final-tighten the center mounting screw (1) fastening the mounting block (3) to the oil-filter mount (2). Tighten the center mounting screw to 10–13 N·m (90–120 in-lbs). NOTE Before fastening the cover, check that the oil-pressure switch wiring is routed away from the edges of the cover, otherwise damage to the wires may occur. NOTE For the next step, use the ball-end hex wrench provided to tighten the 10-24 x 0.375 inch screw on the bottom of the cover. | |
| 9. | Fasten the cover (5) to the mounting block (3) and bracket (4) using two 10-24 x 0.25 inch screws (6) on top and one 10-24 x 0.375 inch screw (7) on the bottom. Tighten the screws to 4–5 N·m (40–50 in-lbs). |
