1. | See Figure 1. Remove and discard upper right transmission bearing housing socket head screw (1). | |||||
2. | Remove and discard the two transmission top cover socket head screws (2). | |||||
3. | See Figure 2. Remove and discard the existing oil line cover socket head screws (1) from oil line cover (2). |

4. | See Figure 2. Remove and discard the entire stock oil line cover. | |||||
5. | See Figure 3. Install the standoff stud (3) and split washer, (6) in the location directly between the two oil lines. | |||||
6. | Tighten standoff stud to 84-108 in-lbs (9.5-12.2 Nm). | |||||
7. | Hold the cover in its approximate installed position between the engine and the transmission while lining up screw hole locations and touching the standoff stud. | |||||
8. | Thread button head screw 1/4-20 x 5/8 (4) with M6 washer (5) into standoff stud. | |||||
9. | Tighten button head screw to 84-108 in-lbs (9.5-12.2 Nm). | |||||
10. | See Figure 3. Install the remaining socket head screws 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 (2) and M6 washers (5), in the indicated holes on the cover. | |||||
11. | Tighten socket head screws to 84-108 in-lbs (9.5-12.2 Nm). |
