WHEEL CARE

WARNING
Be careful not to get the brakes wet when washing vehicle. Wet brake pads and/or discs can adversely affect brake performance, which could result in death or serious injury. (00079b)
NOTE
To guard against pitting, and corrosion the wheels must be cleaned, and maintained according to to these wheel care instructions. Corrosion of these materials is not considered to be a defect in materials or workmanship.
The vehicle's wheel are aluminum, and do not have a protective coating. Damage from harsh chemicals, acid based wheel cleaners, brake dust, and lack of maintenance can occur. Regular washing, and the use of a corrosion protectant helps maintain the wheel's original appearance. Harley-Davidson recommends Harley-Davidson® Wheel and Tire Cleaner part 94658-98 for cleaning wheels and tires; and Harley-Davidson® Harley Glaze® part 99701-84 followed by Harley Gloss® part 94627-98 to protect the aluminum wheel surfaces.
