This kit is a direct replacement for the original equipment (O.E.) handlebar riser hardware.
Tools and Supplies Required
Loctite® 271 (Red) Threadlocker and Sealant (H-D Part Number 99671-97) is required for the proper installation of this kit.

INSTALLATION
| 1. | See Figure 1. Remove and discard one of the hex head screws (1) and split lockwashers (2) that fasten the handlebar risers (6) to the upper fork bracket (5). NOTE Retain any additional components that may have become dislodged from the riser when the screw was removed. Refer to Figure 1 for correct orientation and re-assembly sequence. | |
| 2. | Slide a new chrome lockwasher onto the threads of a new chrome screw from the kit, followed by any of the O.E. components that came loose during disassembly. | |
| 3. | Apply two drops of Loctite® 271 (Red) to the screw threads. Thread the screw through the upper fork bracket into the riser. Tighten the screw to 40.7–54.2 N·m (30–40 ft-lbs). | |
| 4. | Repeat Steps 1, 2 and 3 for the remaining screw. |
