Models
Kit 66503-00 is designed for installation on 1999-2001 Touring models. This kit does not fit with Screamin' Eagle® Pro 2-into-1 Exhaust System, Part Number 80400-01 or models equipped with a hydraulic clutch.
Kit 66503-02 is designed for installation on 2002 to 2006 Touring models.This kit does not fit with Screamin' Eagle® Pro 2-into-1 Exhaust System, part number 80400-01 or models equipped with a hydraulic clutch.
A Service Manual for your model motorcycle is available from a Harley-Davidson Dealer.
INSTALLATION
| 1. | See Figure 1. Remove upper right transmission bearing housing bolt (1). Retain for later reinstallation. | |
| 2. | Loosen lower right transmission bearing housing bolt (2) about 2-3 turns. | |
| 3. | See Figure 1 and Figure 2. Position bracket so the slotted hole slides under washer on bolt in Location 2. | |
| 4. | Install bolt saved from Step 1 through the indicated hole on the bracket and into Location 1. Tighten bolt to 9.5–12.2 N·m (7–9 ft-lbs). | |
| 5. | Tighten bolt in Location 2 to 17.6–21.7 N·m (13–16 ft-lbs). | |
| 6. | See Figure 3. Kit 66503-02: Position chrome cover on bracket and secure using the chrome washers (4) and buttonhead screws (3) as shown. Tighten screws to 5.6–6.2 N·m (50–55 in-lbs). Place the foam pad as shown to support the hose. Kit 66503-00: Position chrome cover on bracket and secure using the chrome washers (4) and buttonhead screws (3) as shown. Tighten screws to 5.6–6.2 N·m (50–55 in-lbs). |
