This Bracket Kit is a direct replacement for the screw-attached seat brackets found on most original equipment (O.E.) or Genuine Motor Accessory seats. This kit does not fit seats with riveted-on brackets.
Refer to the Parts Catalog for your model vehicle or see a Harley-Davidson Dealer to determine if this Bracket Kit will fit your application.
INSTALLATION
| 1. | Refer to the Owner's Manual and follow the instructions given to remove the seat. | |
| 2. | Remove and save the screws and lockwashers fastening the original bracket to the bottom of the seat. | |
| 3. | Fasten the new bracket (1) to the bottom of the seat using the screws (A) and lockwashers (B) removed in the previous step. Tighten the screws to 13.5 N·m (10 ft-lbs). | |
 WARNINGAfter installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b) | ||
| 4. | Refer to the Owner's Manual and follow the instructions given to re-install the seat, using the new screw (2) and lockwasher (3) from the kit. Tighten the screw to 2.3–4.5 N·m (20–40 in-lbs). |
