NOTE
This instruction sheet references Service Manual information. A Service Manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley-Davidson Dealer.
NOTE
Prior to installation of the new fender kit, you will need to remove/replace the tail light assembly, turn signal assembly, and fender tip light assembly, as per the Service Manual procedures.
There are no Service Parts available with this kit.
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Do NOT use chemicals to remove adhesive as damage to the paint surface may occur.
  1. Thoroughly clean the inside surface of the fender using soap and water until it is free of dirt, oil or other debris.
  2. Dry the surface, then wipe the area where conduit will be placed with Isopropyl Alcohol. Let it dry completely.
  3. Obtain the conduit strip from the kit. Fish the tail light, turn-signal and fender tip wiring through the conduit and plug into the appropriate connectors. (Refer to the applicable Service Manual for connector information).
  4. Refer to Figure 4 on Page 2 for conduit location. Note that the figure at the lower right-hand corner illustrates the correct relationship between conduit and fender.
  5. See Figure 1. After confirming proper location, remove the protective strip covering the adhesive on the conduit and lightly position the conduit in place (See Figure 2).
  6. NOTE
When performing the following Step, a Wallpaper Seam Roller (available at most home improvement stores) is recommended.
  7. See Figure 3. Using a wallpaper seam roller, press and roll along the conduit to purge the air from between the adhesive and fender.
  8. NOTE
Do NOT rub the conduit to adhere it to the fender. This will not remove all the air from between the adhesive and fender.
  9. The adhesive will require 72 hours to fully cure. Do NOT pull or try to reposition the conduit during this time.
  10. To install rear fender and reconnect fender light harness, refer to applicable Service Manual.
