REMOVAL
- See Figure 1. Remove detent screw (1), detent spring (2), sleeve (3), and detent arm (4). Discard detent spring and detent arm.
- Clean detent screw mounting hole in transmission side door.
INSTALLATION
NOTE
If these components are being installed on a 2006 Dyna model, it should be confirmed that the motorcycle has either had Recall 0124 performed [Service Bulletin M-1183] or that the motorcycle is not involved in the recall.
- See Figure 2. Assemble detent screw (1), new detent arm (2), sleeve (3), and new detent spring (4). Be sure spring engages hole in detent arm.
- Mount detent assembly in bearing housing. Tighten screw to 120-150 in-lbs (13.6-17.0 Nm).
