| 1. | Remove the seat using the owner's manual instructions. | |
| 2. | See Figure 1 and Table 1. Remove adhesive cover and attach the spacer foam (6) to the underside of the grab rail (1) along the outside edges. | |
| 3. | Line up the holes in the protective tape (7) with the mounting holes in the fender and attach the tape to the fender. | |
| 4. | Attach the seat retention nut (9) with the retention washer (10). | |
| 5. | Position the grab rail over the mounting holes and use washer (2) and button head cap screw (3) and attach to the seat retention nut. | |
| 6. | From the underside of the fender, place a button head cap screw (8) and washer (5) through the fender and grab rail and attach with a washer (5) and lock nut (4). | |
| 7. | Tighten fasteners in Steps 5 and 6 to 6.8–10.8 N·m (5–8 ft-lbs). | |
After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b) | ||
