Kit Contents

INSTALLATION

1.	See Figure 1. Remove and save original air cleaner cover screw (A).
2.	Remove and discard stock air cleaner trim ring from front of air cleaner cover. Adhesive left on air cleaner cover can be removed with mineral spirits.
3.	See Figure 1. Apply a drop of Loctite® 243 (blue) to the threads of the screw (A) removed in Step 1. Install the new air cleaner cover insert mounting bracket (2) with that screw, so that one of the bracket arms is at the 12 o'clock position.
4.	Tighten the screw to 4.1–6.8 N·m (36–60 in-lbs)
5.	Place the new air cleaner cover (1) over the bracket aligning with the five mounting holes.
6.	Secure the air cleaner cover to the bracket (2) with the 5 button head screws (3): a. Insert screws into the cover and start them into the threaded holes in the bracket. b. Working around the cover, partially tighten each screw. Continue until all five screws are seated. c. Tighten screws to 3.4–4.2 N·m (30–37 in-lbs).
