Fresh, uncontaminated DOT 4 hydraulic brake fluid from a sealed container will be needed.

Safety Recall Code 0838
NOTE
If safety recall code 0838 (1125R, XB12R and XB12Scg Brake Line Recall, dated April 24, 2009) has not been performed on the vehicle being serviced, that recall service IS REQUIRED prior to this brake line installation. See a Buell dealer for more information.
2008 1125R and 2009 XB12R Models
Remove the front brake line , discarding the line, clamp, banjo bolts and brake line washers. Install the new brake line per service manual instructions with the following exception:
The service manual indicates that the lower portion of the brake line is routed "between the forks" (inboard of the front fork). The lower portion of the new brake line MUST be routed outboard of the right front fork and down to the brake caliper (see Figure 1 ).

2009 XB12Ss Model
