INSTALLATION
Fork Tube Covers
  1. See Figure 1. Remove the OE rubber fork tube covers.
  2. Verify the fork tube top (2) is flush with the top surface of the triple clamp.
  3. Push the fork tube cover (1) into the fork tube checking that the bar and shield in in the preferred position.
  4. Repeat steps for the other side.
REMOVAL
Fork Tube Covers
  1. See Figure 1. Fork tube covers (1) can be removed with a standard small screw driver. Use care not to scratch the surface of the covers or the paint finish the triple clamp.
  2. Repeat steps for the other side.
  3. To install the covers follow the installation instructions in this document.
  4. Repeat steps for the other side.
INSTALLATION
Steering Stem Cover
  1. See Figure 1. Clean the steering stem (3) and bolt area with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  2. Remove the adhesive tape paper (4).
  3. Turn the steering stem cover (5) over so the adhesive side is facing down. Center the cover so the notch is forward. Press firmly in place to be sure it is securely adhered.
REMOVAL

  1. See Figure 1. Steering stem cover (5) can be removed with a small standard screw driver. Use care not to scratch the surface of the covers or the paint finish the triple clamp.
  2. Clean adhesive tape residue from the cap and steering stem with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  3. Apply silicone RTV (H-D part number 99650-02 or equivalent) to the bottom of cap and follow previous steps as needed for installation.
