1. | Remove the acorn nuts and studs from one side of the vehicle. The nuts and studs can be recycled or disposed of properly. | |
2. | Unplug the turn signal. | |
3. | Position the correct tie down bracket (1) against the upright bar (A). | |
4. | Route turn signal wire through slot on tie down bracket and connect the turn signal. | |
5. | Get two 5/16-18 x 38.1 mm (1.50 in) long screws (2) and two washers (3) from this kit. Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 - Red to the clean screw threads. Install the tie down bracket. Tighten the screws to 3.95–5.08 N·m (35–45 in-lbs). | |
6. | Repeat Steps 1-5 for the opposite side. |
