1. | Remove main fuse. See service manual. |
1. | Connect harness 4-pin connector (2) to headlamp (1). a. Make sure the connector clicks. b. Make sure that connector is locked in position. | |
2. | Connect labeled low beam connector (3) to OE [C38LO] for FLHR or [C1B] for FLRT low beam connector (6). a. Locate OE harness connector with yellow or blue/yellow stripe wire. b. Locate jumper harness connector with yellow/blue wires. c. Connect the connectors. Check for positive engagement on each side. d. Make sure that connector is locked in position. | |
3. | Connect labeled high beam connector (4) to OE [C38HI] for FLHR or [C2B] for FLRT high beam connector (5). a. Locate OE harness connector with white or blue/white stripe wire. b. Locate jumper harness connector with white wire. c. Connect the connectors. Check for positive engagement on each side. d. Make sure that connector is locked in position. |
1. | Visually inspect that the wire polarity is correct. a. Matching the yellow and white wire colors at the low and high beam connectors. | |
2. | Install main fuse. See service manual. | |
3. | Ensure dynamic movement of harnesses and other parts behind the headlamp will not be restricted by moving handlebars from fork lock left to fork lock right. |
