1. | Remove socket screw (A) from footboard support (B). | |
2. | Place footboard support (B) on a clean flat surface. | |
3. | Remove pad (D) from footboard pan (1). a. From bottom of footboard pan (1), use a small flat blade screwdriver to push beads on pad (D) up through holes in footboard pan (1). | |
4. | Using a brass drift and rubber mallet, tap two pivot pins (C) towards center of footboard pan (1). Remove. | |
5. | Remove footboard pan (1) from support bracket (B) taking care to remove and retain detent ball (E) and spring (F) from footboard support (B). |
1. | Install spring (F) and detent ball (E) into footboard support (B). | |
2. | Install new footboard pan (1). a. Position footboard pan (1) and insert pivot pins (C) using brass drift and rubber mallet. | |
3. | Install pad (D). a. Moisten rubber beads on pad (C) with soapy water. b. Place pad (C) into position on footboard pan (1). c. From bottom of footboard pan (1), use needle nose pliers to pull rubber beads down through holes in footboard pan (1). | |
4. | Engage nubs on inboard corners on footboard pad (D) with holes in footboard pan (1). | |
5. | Install socket screw (A) into footboard support (B). Tighten. Torque: 13.6 N·m (120 in-lbs) | |
6. | Repeat steps for other side. |
