NOTICE Do not re-use brake disc/rotor screws. Re-using these screws can result in torque loss and damage to brake components. (00319c) | ||
2. | Assemble and install new brake disc. See service manual. NOTE Avoid hard stops for the first 300 miles. Hard stops during wear-in period will gall brake discs. a. Place a few drops of threadlocker on threads of new chrome screws from kit.LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97) b. Install brake disc using ONLY the new chrome screws. Tighten. Torque: 33 N·m (24 ft-lbs) | |
3. | Kits 41500172 and 41500173: a. Align groove found on face on rotor with a spoke next to valve stem. b. If bolt holes do not line up, move rotor to align groove with another spoke next to valve stem. |
