Service Manual Required
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation. One is available from a Harley-Davidson dealer.
INSTALLATION
Following is an overview. See FAIRING LOWERS AND ENGINE GUARD, Fairing Lower: Air Cooled in the service manual for specific instructions.
- Assemble glove box assembly (3) to each lower fairing.
- Assemble and install vent door (13), lever (12) and pivot (16) to each fairing lower.
- Install clamp (4) in fairing lower.
- Connect linkage to lever (12) and install glove box. Secure with screws (10).
- Install inner panel (11) with screws (9).
- Install and align the fairing lowers using brackets (15), nuts (6), P-clamps (8), screws (17), rubber washers (18) and nuts (5).
- Install stud clips (7) to fairing caps. Install fairing caps (2) with nuts (6) and washers (19).
- Install front panels (14).

NOTE
This kit contains both left and right fairing lowers. Only right side components are shown. Left side components are similar.
