Installation Requirements

WARNING

Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)

NOTE

This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:

PREPARE

Set motorcycle upright. See service manual.

REMOVE

1.	Figure 2 Lower jiffy stand (1).
2.	Remove screws (2).
3.	Remove jiffy stand.

DISASSEMBLE

1.	Figure 3 Remove Jiffy Stand Sensor (JSS) (1), if equipped.
2.	Remove spring (3).
3.	Remove screw (4).
4.	Remove pivot pin (8).
5.	Remove jiffy stand (6).
6.	Remove bushings (5). a. Inspect bushings for wear or damage, replace if necessary.
7.	Inspect bumper (7) for wear or damage, replace if necessary.

ASSEMBLE

1.	Figure 3 Install bumper (7).
2.	Install bushings (5).
3.	Install jiffy stand (6).
4.	Apply anti-sieze lubricant to pivot pin (8).LOCTITE SILVER GRADE ANTI-SEIZE (11100001)
5.	Install pivot pin (8).
6.	Install screw (4). Tighten. Torque: 2.3–2.8 N·m (20–25 in-lbs)
7.	Apply anti-sieze lubricant to spring hook groove on jiffy stand bracket (2).LOCTITE SILVER GRADE ANTI-SEIZE (11100001)
8.	Install spring (3).
9.	Install JSS (1), if equipped.

INSTALL

1.	Figure 2 Install Jiffy stand (1).
2.	Install screws (2). Tighten. Torque: 54.2–61 N·m (40–45 ft-lbs) Jiffy stand screws

COMPLETE

Remove vehicle from upright position. See service manual.
