Installation Requirements
Separate purchase of Tour-pak Run/Brake/Tail Light Kit (Part No. 67801541) is required for proper installation on this kit.
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:

PREPARE
| 1. | Remove main fuse. See service manual. | |
| 2. | Remove Tour-Pak liner. See service manual. a. Support Tour-Pak lid partly open. b. Remove tether anchor. c. Remove liner. | |
| 3. | Remove seat. See service manual. |
INSTALL
| 1. | Figure 1 Position harness (2) in between connector C7A. | |
| 2. | Connect tour-pak harness (Kit 67801541) to harness (2). | |
| 3. | Route harness into tour-pak. | |
| 4. | Figure 4 Clean area with a 50:50 mixture of water and Isopropyl alcohol where double sided tape is to be applied. a. Remove backing of double sided tape and apply where needed inside of tour-pak. | |
| 5. | Route harness to light assembly. | |
| 6. | Figure 2 Install light to tour-pak and secure with screws (1). Tighten. Torque: 2.3–2.8 N·m (20–25 in-lbs) | |
| 7. | Install electrical connector (2). | |
| 8. | Install Tour-Pak liner. See service manual. | |
| 9. | Install main fuse. See service manual. NOTE Verify that the ignition key switch is in the OFF position before install the main fuse. |
Check Lamp Function
Check for proper lamp function:
- With ignition key switch ON, All three lamp sections are illuminated.
- With brake lever or brake pedal actuation, the CENTER section will brighten.
- With left or right turn signal actuation, the corresponding end sections will flash.
- Figure 1 If Tour-Pak is installed with detach kit, item 3, terminal seal plug is used to plug open connection on item 2 harness wye.
- LED King Tour-Pak Run/Brake/Turn Lamp kits (67801128, 67801129) is not supported for use with this kit.
