REMOVE
| 1. | See Figure 2 and Figure 3. Remove side covers (1) to access frame side mount holes. See service manual. | |
| 2. | See Figure 2 and Figure 3. Remove screw in side covers to release punchouts (2). | |
| 3. | Disconnect and remove exhaust from right side bracket. See service manual. |
INSTALL
| 1. | Figure 4 Install left footpeg mounting bracket (1) and screws (2). Tighten. Torque: 21–25 N·m (15–18 ft-lbs) | |
| 2. | Figure 2 Install left side cover (1). | |
| 3. | Figure 5 Install right footpeg mounting bracket (1) and screws (2). Tighten. Torque: 21–25 N·m (15–18 ft-lbs) | |

| 5. | Figure 5 Install exhaust to right side bracket. See service manual. a. Secure with Original Equipment (OE) screw (4) and nut (5). Tighten. Torque: 19–27 N·m (14–20 ft-lbs) | |
| 6. | Figure 6 Install left footpeg (1) to new footpeg mounting bracket (3). NOTE When performing the next step, verify that spring (7) and ball (6) are positioned inside of footpeg (1). a. Insert detent spring (7) into footpeg (1), followed by detent ball (6). b. Slide detent (5) on footpeg (1) while capturing detent ball (6) and detent spring (7). c. Align detent (5) and footpeg (1) with footpeg mounting bracket (3) on vehicle. d. Install clevis pin (8). | |
