Kit Contents
There are no service parts available for this kit.
PREPARATION
NOTE
Ambient temperature should be at least 16 °C (60 °F) for proper adhesion of the conduit to the fender.
If existing conduit is being replaced, it may be necessary to remove any remaining adhesive on the fender . DO NOT use chemicals to remove adhesive as damage to the paint surface may occur.
  1. Clean the inside surface of the fender using soap and water until it is free of dirt, oil or other debris. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  2. Clean the area where conduit will be placed with a mixture of 50-70% isopropyl alcohol and 30-50% distilled water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Refer to the service manual for this year/model motorcycle for connector information.
1. Obtain the conduit strip from the kit. Route the rear lamp wiring through the conduit and plug into the proper connectors.
NOTE
If an existing conduit strip is being replaced, place the new conduit strip next to the existing strip.
2. Figure 1 shows the correct conduit placement for each model. See Figure 2. After determining the proper conduit location, remove the liner (3) from the adhesive backing (2) of the conduit strip (1). See Figure 3. Lightly position the conduit (1) in place on the inside of the rear fender (2).

Figure 4. Using Wallpaper Seam Roller
3. See Figure 4. Using a wallpaper seam roller (1), firmly press and roll along the conduit to purge all the air from between the adhesive and fender. Merely rubbing the conduit to adhere it to the fender will not remove all the air from between the adhesive and fender, and could lead to loosening of the conduit.
NOTE
Allow AT LEAST 24 hours after applying the conduit before exposing the area to vigorous washing, strong water spray or extreme weather.
The adhesive bond will increase to maximum strength after about 72 hours at normal room temperature.
