Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a LiveWire dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (16004a)
WARNINGSee ACCESSORIES AND CARGO section within the SAFETY FIRST section in your owner's manual. Improper cargo loading or accessory installation can cause component failure and adversely affect stability, handling and performance, which could result in death or serious injury. (00021c)
WARNINGDo not exceed luggage rack weight capacity. Too much weight can cause loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00373a)
- Verify that the adaptor plate, top case and cargo are secure. Check load periodically.
- Items with a large surface area mounted on the luggage rack can adversely affect vehicle handling.
These items are available at a LiveWire dealership.
Separate purchase and prior installation of a S2DM Luggage Rack Kit (Part No. 50300298) is required for installation.
Separate purchase of a Detachable Adapter Mounting Plate (Part No. 50300318) is required for installation.
Separate purchase of threadlocker is required.
PREPARE
Installation of this kit will enable a variety of top cases to be mounted to this vehicle.

INSTALL

WARNINGImproper loading of cargo or installation of accessories can affect motorcycle stability and handling, which could result in death or serious injury.
- Keep cargo weight concentrated close to the motorcycle and as low as possible to minimize the change in the motorcycle's center of gravity.
- Distribute weight evenly on both sides of the vehicle.
- Do not load bulky items too far behind the rider or add weight to the handlebars or front forks.
- Do not exceed maximum load capacity stated on the label for bags, luggage, and racks, if equipped. Combined load of luggage rack, luggage, and cargo must not exceed load capacity.
- Check that cargo is secure. The cargo cannot shift while riding. Periodically recheck load.
- Close and lock luggage before riding or leaving the vehicle unattended.
- Accessories that change the operator's riding position may increase reaction time and affect handling of the motorcycle.
- Items with large surface areas, such as windshields, backrests and luggage racks (if equipped) can adversely affect stability and handling.

Maximum luggage rack weight capacity is 13.6 kg (30 lb)

Combined load of luggage and top case must not exceed 13.6 kg (30 lb).
