Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)

This instruction sheet references service manual and electrical diagnostic manual information. These manuals for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:
Proper installation of this kit requires the following parts available from a Harley-Davidson dealer:
  • Prior installation of an engine guard for use with fairing lowers.
  • Prior installation of fairing lowers.
  • The appropriate fog lamp wire harness for this application.
Current Draw: Maximum of 3 A (1.5A per lamp).
PREPARE
1. Remove main fuse. See service manual.
REMOVE
1. Remove radiator debris deflector.
a. Pull lower left and right corner retainers of debris deflector to release retaining clips.
b. Remove top corner tabs of debris deflector from left and right lower fairing inner panel.
2. Remove plastic fastener from front center attachment point of left and right hand inner lower fairings.
3. See Figure 2. Remove left outer lower fairing (1).
a. Pull outboard on outer fairing lower to detach from 5 mounting grommets.

4. See Figure 3. Remove left inner lower fairing (2).
a. Remove screws (3) securing inner lower fairing to media box assembly (1).
b. Pull forward to disengage lower grommet mount.

5. See Figure 4. Remove left lower fairing cover.
a. Remove screws (3) and remove lower fairing cover (2) from media compartment (1).

6. Repeat all steps to remove right hand lower fairing.
INSTALL
1. See Figure 1. Locate left fog lamp (2) from kit.
2. See Figure 5. Install left fog lamp (2) into media compartment (1).
a. Install screws (3). Tighten.
Torque: 3.6–4.3 N·m (32–38 in-lbs)

3. Repeat steps for right fog lamp.
4. See Figure 6. Install fog lamp wire harness.
a. Loosely route fog lamp harness from connector 73A beneath coolant pump to each fairing lower fog lamp, routing longer branch of fog lamp wire harness to left fog lamp, and shorter branch to right fog lamp. See service manual.
b. Install left wire harness connector (2) into left fog lamp.
c. Install wire harness push in cable strap (3) into hole in inner fairing lower as shown.
d. Route wire harness in forward of large retainer features and behind small retainer features (4) as shown.
e. Secure wire harness to hole in lower grommet mount (5) with cable strap.
f. Secure wire harness to hole in engine guard tab (6) with double loop cable strap attached to wire harness as shown.
g. Route center section of wire harness to mating connector 73A. See service manual and electrical diagnostic manual.

5. Repeat steps for installing right fog lamp harness branch.
6. See Figure 3. Install left inner lower fairing (2).
a. Secure inner lower fairing to media box assembly (1) with lower grommet and screws (3). Tighten.
Torque: 5.1–6.2 N·m (45–55 in-lbs)
7. Repeat steps for installing right inner lower fairing ensuring that right side overlaps left side at center fastener.
8. Install plastic fastener at center attachment point of left and right hand inner lower fairings.
9. See Figure 2. Install left outer lower fairing (1).
a. Push on outer fairing lower to attach 5 mounting grommets.
10. Install radiator debris deflector.
a. Install top corner tabs of debris deflector into left and right lower fairing inner panel.
b. Push lower left and right corner retainers of debris deflector into retaining clips.
COMPLETE
1. Install main fuse. See service manual.
CONFIGURE
1. See Figure 7. Models with an Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU):
a. Place vehicle in accessory mode.
b. Navigate to Systems Settings > vehicle Function Setup.
c. Enable front fog lamps.
d. Turn vehicle off and wait one minute.
e. Turn vehicle to ignition or accessory mode.
f. Open vehicle functions (14) from Left Hand Control Module (LHCM).
g. Turn fog lamps on/off, lamps should correspond to vehicle function indication.
