Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:
PREPARE
1. Remove left saddlebag. See service manual.
REMOVE
1. See Figure 2. Remove two screws (1) from Original Equipment (OE) belt guard. Save screws (1) for later use.

INSTALL
1. See Figure 3. Install chrome belt guard cover (2) over OE belt guard (1).
a. Making sure lower edge of belt guard is inserted into edge clip of cover.
2. Install screws (3) loosely.
3. Make sure that the chrome belt guard cover does not contact the drive belt, tire or wheel. If necessary, loosen screws (3) and reposition for clearance.
4. Tighten screws (3).
Torque: 7.3–9.6 N·m (65–85 in-lbs)
