Installation Requirements
Proper installation of this kit requires LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97).
INSTALLATION
- Carefully remove and discard existing adhesive insert by working around the perimeter of the insert and gently prying up top lip.
- Carefully remove old adhesive with mineral spirits.
- Clean the mounting surface with denatured alcohol and clean paper towels. Do not use a rag or cloth towel.
- See Figure 1. Apply LOCTITE 243 MEDIUM STRENGTH THREADLOCKER AND SEALANT (BLUE) (99642-97) to screw and assemble the new cover.
- Tighten screw to 5.6–7.3 N·m (50–65 in-lbs).
