Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:

REMOVE
| 1. | See Figure 2. Remove and discard cotter pin (3). | |
| 2. | Remove clevis pin (1). | |
| 3. | Remove screw (8), washer (7) and nut (4). a. Discard screw (8) and washer (7). | |
| 4. | Remove OE brake lever (6). |
INSTALL
| 1. | See Figure 3. Remove protective thread cover from screw (7). | |
| 2. | Install nut (4) and adjustable brake lever (6) with screw as an assembly. | |
| 3. | Tighten screw (7). Torque: 17–21 N·m (13–15 ft-lbs) | |
| 4. | Align master cylinder (2) with adjustable brake lever (6). | |
| 5. | Install clevis pin (1). | |
| 6. | Install new cotter pin (3). |
Adjustment
| 1. | See Figure 3. Pull spring clevis (8) out. | |
| 2. | Adjust lever arm. | |
| 3. | Align spring clevis (8) with detent and lock into place. |
