INSTALLATION
WARNING
See ACCESSORIES AND CARGO section within the SAFETY FIRST section in your owner's manual. Improper cargo loading or accessory installation can cause component failure and adversely affect stability, handling and performance, which could result in death or serious injury. (00021c)
NOTE
Do not exceed trunk weight capacity of 23 kg (50 lb).
Do not load more than 1.1 kg (2.5 lb) in the trunk organizer.
1. See Figure 1. Position the trunk organizer (1) on the inside lid of the trunk as shown. Note where the three adhesive strips on the backside of the organizer will attach to the lid.
2. Wash inside of the trunk lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Use alcohol wipe (saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol) included in kit to thoroughly clean organizer lid surface. Make sure any residue is removed, then allow lid to dry completely. Make sure the surface is free of condensed moisture.
NOTE
The ideal temperature range for applying the tape is 70-100 °F (21-38 °C). Minimum application temperature is 50 °F (10 °C). If you attempt to apply the tape below these temperatures, the adhesive will become too firm to adhere readily.
4. Remove the plastic strips covering the organizer adhesive strips and firmly press the organizer into position on the trunk lid. Be sure to apply pressure to the entire length of tape to verify proper adhesion.
5. Allow tape to cure for a minimum of 48 hours at 70 °F (21 °C). Allow extra time for lower temperatures. Do not place items in the organizer while adhesive is curing.
