2. | Remove the screws (C), windshield bushings (D) and washers from one side of the auxiliary lighting mount (if present) or fork cover. Retain the screws and bushings for installation. The washers can be recycled or properly disposed of. | |
3. | Position the windshield bushings against the front panel. Position the correct tie down bracket (1) against the bushings. | |
4. | Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 - Red to the clean screw threads. | |
5. | Install the correct tie down bracket (1) against the windshield bushings with the screws. Tighten the screws to 3.95–5.08 N·m (35–45 in-lbs). | |
6. | Repeat steps for the opposite side. Install windshield. The 5/16-18 x 31.8 mm (1.25 in) long screws from this kit can be recycled or properly disposed of. |

2. | Get two 5/16-24 x 16 mm (0.62 in) long screws from the Tie-Down Bracket Hardware Kit (Part No. 91800030, purchased separately). Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 - Red to the clean screw threads. | |

5. | Repeat Steps 2-4 for the opposite side. Install windshield. |
1. | Remove the screws retaining the auxiliary lighting bracket (E), outer fairing skirt and inner fairing to the front forks on one side of the vehicle. The screws can be recycled or properly disposed of. | |
2. | With Cross-Braced Steel Auxiliary Lighting Bracket:With Cast Auxiliary Lighting Brackets: a. Position the correct tie down bracket (1) over the auxiliary lighting bracket side plate, lining up the holes. b. Get two 5/16-18 x 31.8 mm (1.25 in) long screws (2) from this kit. Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 - Red to the clean screw threads. c. Install the tie down bracket. Tighten the screws to 3.95–5.08 N·m (35–45 in-lbs). d. Position the correct tie down bracket (1) over the outer fairing skirt and inner fairing. Position the auxiliary lighting bracket over the tie down bracket, lining up the holes. e. Get two 5/16-18 x 31.8 mm (1.25 in) long screws (2) from this kit. Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 - Red to the clean screw threads. f. Install the auxiliary lighting bracket and tie down bracket. Tighten the screws to 3.95–5.08 N·m (35–45 in-lbs). | |
3. | Repeat steps for the opposite side. |
