Kit Contents
This kit contains one tank bag, a rear strap, two D-ring straps, two flange nuts, two flange screws, three washers and a rain cover.
There are no service parts available with this kit.
INSTALLATION
WARNING
Improper loading of cargo or installation of accessories can affect motorcycle stability and handling, which could result in death or serious injury. (00121a)
  • Keep cargo weight concentrated close to the motorcycle and as low as possible to minimize the change in the motorcycle's center of gravity. Distribute weight evenly on both sides of the vehicle. Do not load bulky items too far behind the rider or add weight to the handlebars or front forks.
  • Make sure that cargo is secure and will not shift while riding. Periodically check the load.
  • Make sure that the bag strap buckles are secure.
  • Secure straps and keep away from wheels.
  • Do not put more than 4.5 kg (10 lb) in bag.

1. See the owner's manual. Remove seat.
2. See Figure 1. Remove the rear fuel tank mounting screw (1). Save screw.
3. Attach magnetic flap of rear strap to the fuel tank as shown.
4. Install the rear strap (2) and washer (3) from the kit. Secure with screw (1) from the previous step. Tighten to 24.3–29.7 N·m (18–21 ft-lbs).
NOTE
There are small pockets where the front straps connect to the tank bag, where the clip end of the strap can be stored. Place the clip end of each strap in a pocket while positioning the bag on the tank to prevent scratches.
5. Models without Engine Guard:Models with Engine Guard:
a. See Figure 2. Remove two screws, washers and radiator shroud.
b. Install D-ring strap (3), flange screw (5) and flange nut (4) to engine guard mounting location. Tighten to 22.5–27.5 N·m (17–20 ft-lbs).
c. Install two screws washers and shroud. Tighten screws to 9–11 N·m (80–97 in-lbs).
d. Lay the bag on the tank.
e. Connect the clip-end of a strap (1) to the D-ring strap.
f. Repeat steps for the opposite side.
g. Lay the bag on the tank.
h. Route strap around the engine guard, then connect the clip-end of strap to the D-ring.
i. Repeat steps for the opposite side.
6. Connect the tank bag to the rear strap. Pull the strap end to tighten the strap.
7. See Figure 2. Pull front strap ends to tighten straps. Secure the strap ends to the hook-and-loop tape (3).
WARNING
After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b)
8. Install seat.
Rain Cover
A rain cover is stored in the front pocket of the tank bag. To use the cover, stretch it over the tank bag.
