Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:
REMOVE
1. Remove front fender. See service manual.
a. Remove and discard Original Equipment (OE) screws.
b. Remove and discard OE fender.
INSTALL
1. Figure 1 Install new front fender (1).
a. Check fender orientation. Figure 2
2. Install new screws (2). Tighten.
Torque: 22–27 N·m (16–20 ft-lbs)
3. When tightening, verify that fender to tire clearance is same in front and rear.

Care Information
Fender is painted with a matte clear coat, it should not be polished as it would cause an irreparable glossy spot on the part and potentially remove the protective top coat.
