1. | See Figure 3. Clean seal mounting area. a. Clean seal mounting area with a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent distilled water. b. Allow to dry completely. | |
2. | See Figure 4. Install seal. NOTE Align seal leg into rib channel (2) on lid. a. Peel back a few inches of backing material. b. Place end of seal (3) flush to, no greater than 0.5 cm (0.2 in) (1) away from hinge area. c. Work seal onto mounting area a few inches at a time. NOTE Do not stretch seal. d. Cut seal squarely flush to, no greater than 0.5 cm (0.2 in) from hinge. e. After entire seal is installed, go back around entire seal and press firmly in place. f. Verify seal is securely adhered. |
