1. | Figure 1 Install protective tape (5, 6) on swingarm. a. Figure 2 Position upper and lower mounting brackets (1, 2) on swingarm. Make sure brackets are properly overlapped. b. Mark locations of where to install protective tape. c. Remove upper and lower mounting brackets (1, 2). d. Clean area with 50/50 distilled water and isopropyl alcohol mix. NOTE Make sure when installing protective tape that it covers the area of mating parts. e. Peel backing from large protective tape and install to upper swingarm (3). f. Peel backing from small protective tape and install to lower swingarm (4). |

4. | Align holes in back panel (3) with upper and lower mounting brackets. | |
5. | Install screws (1). Tighten in crossing pattern. Torque: 5.7–6.3 N·m (50–56 in-lbs) |
