Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:

REMOVE
| 1. | Remove outer fairing. See service manual. | |
| 2. | Figure 2 Remove two screws (1) and mounting clamp (2) from fairing support (5). | |
| 3. | Remove and retain screw (3) and washer (4) from stock fairing support. a. Remove stock fairing support. | |
| 4. | Repeat procedure on opposite side. | |
| 5. | Remove two screws that attach the bottom of the stock engine guard to vehicle frame. | |
| 6. | Remove and discard the hex socket screw and washer holding the top of the guard. a. Remove engine guard from frame, taking care not to scratch the finish or paint on the vehicle. |
INSTALL
| 1. | Figure 3 Hold fairing support assembly in position. | |
| 2. | Figure 3 Loosely install mid fairing support mount screws (2, 8), flat washers (3, 7) and nut (9) from kit. | |
| 3. | Install side brackets to vehicle with two screws (5) and washers (6) that were removed earlier. | |
| 4. | Tighten upper mid fairing mount screw (8). Torque: 21.6–24.4 N·m (16–18 ft-lbs) Mounting screw | |
| 5. | Tighten lower mid fairing mount screw (2). Torque: 5.4–6.7 N·m (48–59 in-lbs) Mounting screw | |
| 6. | Tighten two side mount screws (5). Torque: 10.8–12.2 N·m (96–108 in-lbs) Mounting screw | |
| 7. | Install outer fairing. See service manual. |
