Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation.

  • Separate purchase of Harley-Davidson Audio Powered by Rockford Fosgate Primary Subwoofer Installation Kit (Part No. 76001302) is required.
PREPARE
1. Remove left saddlebag. See service manual.
2. Remove left side cover. See service manual.
3. Remove main fuse. See service manual.
4. Open right saddlebag.
INSTALL
1. Figure 3 Install amplifier (1) into housing.
a. Use mounting post (3) to assist with alignment.
b. Install screws (2). Tighten.
Torque: 11.8–14.4 N·m (104–127 in-lbs)
c. Connect connector (4) to amplifier (1).
d. If equipped, route power lock harness out bottom of harness panel along audio harness.
2. Figure 2 Install amplifier cover (1).
a. Verify tabs (3) are properly engaged.
b. Install screws (2). Tighten.
Torque: 0.73–0.89 N·m (6.5–7.9 in-lbs)
COMPLETE
NOTE
To prevent possible damage to the sound system, verify that the ignition is OFF before installing the main fuse.
1. Install main fuse. See service manual.
2. Install left side cover. See service manual.
3. Install left saddlebag. See service manual.
SERVICE
1. Figure 2 Remove amplifier cover.
a. Remove screws (2).
b. Remove cover tabs (3) from housing.
c. Remove cover (1).

c. Remove amplifier (1).

CONFIGURE
1. Perform system configuration ONLY after all audio accessory kits have been installed.
2. Power up vehicle in accessory mode.
3. On the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU):
a. Select: Settings icon.
b. Select: Sounds Settings.
c. Follow on screen prompts for applicable audio system changes.
4. When complete, turn power off for 60 seconds.
5. Turn power back on, verify proper operation of audio system.
