Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
REMOVE
| 1. | Place edge of screwdriver into notch located at bottom of axle cover. | |
| 2. | Gently pry outward to remove. |
INSTALL
| 1. | Clean axle openings with 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. | |||||||||
| 2. | See Figure 1. Install right axle cover (1). a. See Figure 2. Align flats of spring clip (2) with axle's internal hex flats (3). b. Push axle cover into axle until O-ring (4) makes contact. c. Rotate axle cover logo as needed (if applicable). d. Press firmly on axle cover until fully installed. |
