1. | See the owner's manual. Remove the seat. | |
2. | See Figure 1. Remove the rear mounting screw, washers and nut from the fuel tank rear mounting location (1). | |
3. | Attach magnetic flap of rear strap to the fuel tank as shown. | |
4. | Install the rear strap (2) using the screw, washers and nut from the previous step. Tighten to 20.3–27.1 N·m (15–20 ft-lbs). NOTE There are small pockets where the front straps connect to the tank bag, where the T-end of the strap can be stored. Place the T-end of each strap in a pocket while positioning the bag on the tank to prevent scratches. | |
5. | See Figure 3. Secure front straps. Insert the T-end of the strap (1) into the frame neck slot (2) on the right side. Repeat for the left side strap. a. Lay the bag on the tank. b. Insert the T-end of the right strap (1) into the frame neck slot (2) on the right side. c. Rotate the T-end to secure it in the slot. d. Repeat for the left side. | |
6. | Connect the tank bag to the rear strap. Pull the strap end to tighten the strap. | |
7. | See Figure 2. Pull front strap ends (2) to tighten straps. Secure the strap ends to the hook-and-loop tape (3). | |
