Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
REMOVE
| 1. | Figure 1 Remove currently installed brake pedal pad from vehicle foot brake lever. Discard pad and attaching hardware. |
INSTALL
| 1. | Figure 1 Kits 50600182, 50600187, 50600188: a. Align the new brake pedal pad (1) with the recess in the trim cover (2). | |
| 2. | Figure 1 Kits 50600509, 50600510: a. Align new brake pedal assembly (3) with vehicle foot brake lever. | |
| 3. | Insert threaded stud through holes in trim cover and vehicle foot brake lever. | |
| 4. | Install washer (4) onto threaded stud. | |
| 5. | Install ¼-20 hex locknut (5) onto threaded stud. Tighten. Torque: 10.9 N·m (8 ft-lbs) |
