Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:
PREPARE
If removing right side footrest bracket or brake pedal
1. Remove main fuse. See service manual.
2. Remove exhaust. See service manual.
3. Remove footpeg assembly. See service manual.
4. Remove rear brake master cylinder from bracket. See service manual.
5. Remove brake pedal. See service manual.
REMOVE
1. Remove OE brake lever. See service manual.
INSTALL
1. Figure 1 Install new brake lever (1).
a. Install OE clevis pin (C).
b. Install OE screw (A) and washer (B). Tighten.
Torque: 17–21 N·m (13–15 ft-lbs)
c. 41600348, 41600370: Requires separate purchase of brake pedal pad.
COMPLETE
If right side footrest bracket or brake pedal was removed
1. Install brake pedal. See service manual.
2. Install rear brake master cylinder on bracket. See service manual.
3. Install footpeg assembly. See service manual.
4. Install exhaust system. See service manual.
5. Install main fuse. See service manual.
