1. | Remove Original Equipment (OE) rider seat and if equipped, passenger pillion. See service manual. |
1. | Remove OE spanner wrench and document pouch from underneath rider seat. See service manual. | |
2. | RH975: Figure 2 Remove rear fender plug (1). |
1. | Install OE spanner wrench and document pouch to seat. See service manual. | |
2. | Install new rider seat. See service manual. | |
3. | Pull up on rider seat to verify it is secure. |
1. | Figure 3 Install fender nuts and clips (3). a. From underneath the fender, position fender nut to notch in fender hole and install. b. Above the fender, install clip to lock fender nut in place. | |
2. | Mark and apply protective tape (2). a. Mark bottom of pillion isolators (1) with chalk. b. Set pillion in place and press down to transfer marks to fender. c. Place protective tape (2) on rear fender over marks. | |
3. | Figure 4 Install passenger pillion. a. Engage front mount tab (3). b. Secure with screws (1). Tighten. Torque: 2.3–4.6 N·m (20–41 in-lbs) | |
4. | Pull up on passenger pillion to verify that it is secure. |
