Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for the year and model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from:

  • 2024 and later FLH models: Separate purchase of HomeLink® Mounting Bracket (Part No. 69203073) is required for installation.
  • 2024 and later FLT models: Separate purchase of HomeLink® Mounting Bracket (Part No. 69203074) is required for installation.
  • HomeLink® module activation requires Digital Technician II (DT II). Contact a Harley-Davidson dealership.
  • Some generic remotes may program directly to the garage door opener, but cannot be used to train the HomeLink. Use of original or genuine garage door remote may be necessary for successful programming of the HomeLink.

PREPARE
1. Remove left saddlebag. See service manual.
2. Remove left side cover. See service manual.
3. Remove main fuse. See service manual.
4. Remove outer fairing. See service manual.
5. Frame-mounted fairing: Remove headlamp. See service manual.
INSTALL
NOTE
See Installation Requirements for mounting brackets.
Fork-Mounted Fairing Model
1. See Figure 2. Install mounting bracket.
a. Slide mounting bracket (3) on screw post.
b. Hold tab (6) against media compartment.
c. Install screw (2). Tighten.
Torque: 5.5–6.8 N·m (49–60 in-lbs)
2. Install module.
a. Install module (1) into mounting bracket (3) until three tabs are engaged.
b. Connect and lock connector (5).

Frame-Mounted Fairing Model
1. See Figure 3. Install mounting bracket.
a. Install mounting bracket (3) under fairing support bracket.
b. Install screws (2). Tighten.
Torque: 5.5–6.8 N·m (49–60 in-lbs)
2. Install module.
a. Install rear of module (1) in mounting bracket (3).
b. Install front of module into mounting bracket until tab (4) is engaged.
c. Connect and lock connector (5).

INFOTAINMENT CONTROL UNIT (IFCU) SETUP
1. Select: HomeLink icon (1). See Figure 4.
2. Follow on-screen prompts for setup.
