Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
INSTALL
1. Figure 2 Align and insert tabs on mount phone interface (1) to slots on back of carrier (2).
NOTE
Gently pull on carrier to verify that it is properly installed and mount is locked.
2. Turn carrier (2) a ΒΌ turn until carrier settles into next detent.
3. Install phone.
a. Figure 2 Open carrier (2) by pulling knob (3) out and turning counter-clockwise.
b. Place phone into carrier (2).
NOTE
Gently pull on phone to verify that it is properly installed.
c. Turn knob (3) clockwise until carrier is tight on phone.
d. Push knob in.
4. Adjust phone mount and phone orientation as needed for optimal access and viewing.

Be sure that steering is smooth and free without interference. Interference with steering could result in loss of vehicle control and death or serious injury. (00371a)
1. Turn handlebar lock to lock installation to verify that the phone carrier and phone do not interfere with fairings, gas tank, cables, lines, hoses, wiring or other equipment.
2. Make sure that the phone does not obscure visibility of speedometer, hand controls, indicator lights or mirrors.
