INSTALLATION
If applicable, remove the "underside" chrome footboard covers (Part No. 50782-91). If chrome passenger footboard covers (Part No. 50177-95) are being replaced, follow these removal steps:
  1. With left side passenger footboard down, select a streetside "corner". Use a small common screwdriver to slightly raise the rubber pad off of the footboard.
  2. From underneath the footboard, push the pad nipple through the hole with another small screwdriver.
  3. Carefully slide screwdriver under the cover/pad to the other front "corner". Repeat step 2.
  4. Use the screwdriver to pry up the rear corners and remove the footboard cover from the footboard.
Installation of Chrome Passenger Footboard Covers
  1. Center the two footboard pivot pins.
  2. Moisten kit footboard cover rubber nipples and footboard dowel recess holes with dishwashing soap to ease installation.
  3. With footboard down, place footboard cover onto footboard with the two extended rubber nipples over holes. Firmly grasp the footboard cover (bike side) and footboard with both hands. Insert dowels into footboard.
  4. Pull extended nipple ends through holes to properly seat them. Cut off the rubber "pull end" at the tip of each nipple.
  5. If appropriate, reattach the "underside" footboard cover.
  6. Repeat procedures for right side footboard cover.
NOTE
Avoid the contact of chrome surfaces with abrasive materials (stones, sand, etc.) as damage will result.
