INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
NOTE
If dipstick is not aligned properly after installing, follow instructions in the next section prior to installation.
  1. Unscrew OE (Original Equipment) dipstick.
  2. Install new dipstick and thread until it stops. Gently tighten.
Adjusting Dipstick for Direct Viewing
NOTE
The dipstick is designed to be adjusted so it can be viewed at a direct angle from the side. Perform the following:
  1. Install the dipstick and thread it in until it stops. Gently tighten.
  2. Using an eraseable marker, mark the 12:00 position on the chrome bezel.
  3. Remove the dipstick. Back out each of the three Philips head screws one or two turns.
  4. Rotate the bezel and align the 200 degree mark on the readout portion of the gauge with the erasable mark made in Step b.
  5. Tighten each of the three Phillips screws securely and install dipstick.
