Additional Parts Required
LOCTITE®243 Threadlocker and Sealant - Blue (Part Number 99642-97) is required for the proper installation of this kit.

If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation.

Kit Contents
This kit contains two muffler hanger bracket covers.
There are no service parts available with this kit.
INSTALLATION
| 1. | Refer to the owner's manual and remove saddlebag from one side of the motorcycle. | |
| 2. | See Figure 1. Remove two screws and lockwashers (1) attaching the muffler hanger bracket (2) to the muffler (3). NOTE If the muffler does not move sufficiently with light pressure, refer to the appropriate service manual and loosen or remove muffler. | |
| 3. | See Figure 2. Press down on muffler with light pressure and, from the side, install cover between the hanger bracket of the saddlebag support and the muffler. | |
| 4. | Clean the two screws previously removed and apply small amount of Loctite 243 (blue) to the threads. Install the two screws and lockwashers (1). Tighten screws to 10.8–16.3 N·m (96–144 in-lbs). | |
| 5. | Refer to the owner's manual and install the saddlebag. | |
| 6. | Repeat procedure for opposite side of motorcycle. |
