Installation Requirements
Installation on FXSTD 17-inch wheels requires a separate purchase of Hub Plate Kit (43837-00).
For Kits 44102-95A and 44108-95A:
  • This brake disc must be used ONLY with brake pad kit (44209-87C). If that brake pad kit is not used, the disc will be damaged and its useful life shortened.
  • Brake pad kit 44209-87C is Original Equipment (OE) on 1992 and later models and must be used on those models. 1991 and earlier models also must use brake pad kit 44209-87C. These pads are identified by the number 56 stamped into the outside brake pad backing surface, opposite the friction material.
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley-Davidson Dealer.
