Installation Requirements

If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation.
Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
REMOVE
| 1. | See Figure 1. Remove currently installed brake pedal pad from vehicle foot brake lever. Discard pad and attaching hardware. |
INSTALL
| 1. | See Figure 1. Kits 50600182, 50600187, 50600188: a. Align the new brake pedal pad (1) with the recess in the trim cover (2). | |
| 2. | See Figure 1. Kits 50600509, 50600510: a. Align new brake pedal assembly (3) with vehicle foot brake lever. | |
| 3. | Insert threaded stud through holes in trim cover and vehicle foot brake lever. | |
| 4. | Install washer (4) onto threaded stud. | |
| 5. | Install ¼-20 hex locknut (5) onto threaded stud. Tighten. Torque: 10.9 N·m (8 ft-lbs) |
