INSTALLATION
| 1. | Remove existing front wheel assembly. Retain axle, axle nut, brake disc and wheel spacers for kit installation. See the service manual. NOTE

| 2. | See Figure 2. Install valve stem assembly on wheel. See the service manual. NOTE Install the primary bearing first using appropriate service manual and WHEEL BEARING INSTALLER/REMOVER 94143-09A.

NOTICE Do not re-use brake disc/rotor screws. Re-using these screws can result in torque loss and damage to brake components. (00319c) | ||
| 3. | Assemble the wheel installation, kit components and brake disc(s) to wheel, using the appropriate service parts table. See the service manual. | |
| 4. | When installing tire, ensure protective covers are installed on the tire mounting machine to avoid paint chipping. | |
| 5. | Install previously removed wheel spacers. See service manual. | |
| 6. | Install front wheel (1), stock axle and stock axle nut. See service manual. |
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Parts must be maintained regularly so that they keep their original shine and luster.
- Clean heavily-soiled wheel surfaces using Wheel & Tire Cleaner, applied with Harley Wheel and Spoke Brush.
- Thoroughly clean wheel with a good quality cleaner, such as Wheel & Tire Cleaner.
- After cleaning and polishing, seal the finish with a good quality sealer, such as Glaze Poly Sealant.
WARNINGHarley-Davidson recommends the use of its specified tires. Harley-Davidson vehicles are not designed for operation with non-specified tires, including snow, moped and other special-use tires. Use of non-specified tires can adversely affect stability, handling or braking and lead to loss of vehicle control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00024d)
